You step off the bangka and the sea takes the first breath of the day, warm and green, urging you to go deeper. Anilao’s reefs—close to shore and carved into dramatic underwater walls—reveal clownfish peering from anemones and coral gardens that flex with the current. In two focused days you move from confined-water skills to four open-water dives, each descent a different chapter in a short book of soft corals and nudibranchs.

Do I need prior swimming experience?

Yes—basic swimming skills and comfort in water are required; confined-pool sessions teach scuba skills but not how to swim.

Will I be certified after two days?

If you complete all required pool sessions, theory, and four open-water dives successfully, you’ll receive a PADI Open Water certification.

What about seasickness?

Take preventive measures (ginger, wrist bands or medication) before boat rides; briefing and a calm breakfast help reduce risk.

Is gear included?

Most operators supply tanks, weights and basic dive gear; check inclusions for personal items like masks or computers and bring what fits best.
