This is a non-diving specialty. What that means is you will complete the online learning, then meet with an instructor to perform a few tasks including oxygen analysis and setting your dive computer.
If you wish to dive with Nitrox after your certification, you and your instructor can book a dive upon availability.
The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba course. Why? Because scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression time, especially on repetitive scuba dives. If staying down longer and getting back in the water sooner sounds appealing, then don’t hesitate to become an enriched air diver.
You’ll learn why diving with air that has higher oxygen and lower nitrogen content gives you more bottom time, along with enriched air equipment considerations. During a practical session, and two optional (or required) scuba dives, you’ll:
Make sure you have completed open water certification before enrolling.
Arrive prepared with all necessary paperwork and gear for a smooth start.
Verify your dive computer and nitrox tank compatibility before dives.
Drink plenty of water before and after dives to prevent dehydration.
The Miami reef system has been a renowned diving destination since the 1980s, with shipwrecks dating back to the early 20th century attracting tech divers and marine enthusiasts alike.
Tarpoon Lagoon is committed to environmentally sustainable diving practices, supporting local marine conservation efforts to preserve Florida’s coral ecosystems for future generations.
Monitor your nitrogen levels and dive times accurately with your personal dive computer.
A nitrox tank lets you enjoy extended bottom times safely during courses and dives.
A properly fitting wetsuit helps maintain warmth and comfort in Miami waters.
