About

Are you dreaming of mermaids? This course is a mer-mazing start to be a part of their world! Get your fins wet and learn basic safe mermaiding techniques and concepts that every mer should know. You must be comfortable swimming in water that is 10 feet deep. This course can take place in the comfort of your own pool or at any of the local beaches in the Rincon area.

What to Bring

  • Swimsuit, towel, water bottle, sun protection: sunscreen, long sleeve shirt
  • NOTICE your sunscreen! Is it REEF SAFE? Choose to PROTECT OUR REEFS by using reef-safe sunscreen. (Available for purchase) If your sunscreen is NOT reef-safe: 1. Wear a long sleeve shirt instead 2. Sunscreen-up at least half an hour before you arrive. That way the lotion goes into your skin and not into the ocean
  • Make sure you wear your bathing suit as there will not be anywhere to change

What to Expect

  • All equipment included: Mask, snorkel, mermaid tail, monofin, weight belt, weights
  • Learn basic mermaid concepts and techniques: warm-up stretches, equipment care, breath-holding, weighting, mermaid diving, and other safe mermaiding skills!
