Moderate fitness is required—able to paddle continuously for short intervals and to get in/out of a sit‑on‑top or sit‑in kayak; guides provide technique coaching.
Common sightings include great blue herons, snowy egrets, mangrove fish, fiddler crabs and occasionally manatees or dolphins in adjacent waterways.
Children under 5 are not recommended; operators typically accept older children when accompanied by an adult and after assessing comfort with water.
