Join us for a tailored session in paddleboarding at Loch Brora. Our lessons are suitable for absolute beginners through to intermediates. We cover everything from different parts of the board, safety, weather, paddling basics and getting back on your board if you fall in. Depending on your abilities and confidence we can also work on paddle technique, moving around and jumping on your board, tricks and games. We are never too far away from shore and we can stay within your depth if you are nervous.
Kids lessons focus more on fun, jumping on and off the board, paddling around and exploring and playing games. For more nervous kids we can tow them on their own board or they can sit with an instructor.
For family lessons we will sometimes take kids younger than 8, please contact us to discuss this further.
Private lessons will focus entirely on what you want to work on, whether that is learning to stand up or learning to do a step back turn. If you have your own board and want to take it let us know, we can go through everything from the very beginning where you unpack your board and set it all up.
We provide wetsuits, buoyancy aids and boards. Safety is our priority and you must wear a wetsuit and buoyancy aid on our sessions, unless there are exceptional circumstances. It is recommended to wear trainers, sliders or similar to protect your feet when we walk into the loch. There are no changing areas or toilet facilities at Loch Brora, it is a beautiful and unspoiled area.
About By the end of the lesson you’ll know how to paddle, get back on your board, paddle in the wind and stay safe on the water.
Public lessons are a group lesson with up to 8 people attending. Private lessons are available for one or two people.
Wetsuit Sizes:
To ensure a perfect fit, please provide your sizes in advance through our booking page in the single line area. Let's make sure you're geared up for a day of fun on the water!
Please bring your own shoes/trainers that you don't mind getting wet. If you have your own wetsuit, please bring that with you.
