About

Paddle the upper Jackson River in Alleghany County. Our most popular river trip. This section normally features crystal clear water, great current, and excellent mountain views. Many class I & II rapids make this section fun and exciting. The rapids are plentiful but fairly straight forward. This trip launches at the Indian Draft boat landing and ends back at our take out at Intervale Park. This trip typically starts at 10:30 and 11:30 am daily.

All rates are subject to 5.3% Virginia sales tax

Duration

This trip is 7.5 river miles long and takes approximately three to four hours to complete.

MINIMUM AGE Recommended minimum age for this trip is 8 years old. For insurance and safety reasons minimum age for any river trip is 6 years old. No underage exceptions. Small kids must be in boats with their parents or guardians.
