About:

Paddle down the River Soar, immerse yourself in nature and play with some paint! Embrace the spills and mistakes, scratch into the page, layer and enjoy the feeling of textures beneath your fingertips. Fuel up with some quick snacks and drinks before finishing your projects, hopping back on your crafts and returning with your new creations.

Itinerary:

Starting Point: Proctors Park From the starting point at Proctors Park we will set off towards our island campsite, around 30 minutes paddle away. Once we arrive we will meet our in-house artist and begin our session. Share some laughs with friends - old and new alike, with this playful artistic experience. Snacks and drinks are provided.

Finishing off: Once the session is complete, and you have finished your pieces, we will head back onto the water and return to our start point.

Themes:

The Paddle and Paint experience is offered with 4 different theme, allowing you explore the craft of painting in an experience tailored to you. All sessions include fun and games, light snacks and drinks, and time to brush up on your artistic abilities.

Textures: Let loose and rediscover the simple joy of art by exploring the different textures available through a range of illustrative mediums. Take the pressure off, play around and create something truly unique by following the flow of fun.

People: Bring along your friends and family, and learn to recreate their familiar features using quirky characterisations techniques. Create experimental versions of real life people, try new shapes and colours, learn personalisation in illustration from a children’s book illustrator.

Painting Pottery: Spend the afternoon painting a vase by taking inspiration from the nature around you. Vase is provided by us for a small additional fee.

Nature: Practise painting landscapes whilst immersed within one. Recreate your favourite memory in nature drawing inspiration from the senses, and the natural world around us.
