You push off from a low stone quay at Dalarö just after breakfast; the archipelago opens like a page of weathered maps—granite ridges, narrow channels and low, wind-polished islands. Sea spray cools your face while a distant white-tailed sea eagle rides the wind, deciding which skerry to inspect next.

Paddling difficulty is moderate: expect a mix of sheltered channels and exposed crossings; basic paddling competency and stamina for multi-hour days is required.
