Details

Check out the Overnight Best of Alaska Experience - Only available when the whole boat and the cabin are both available

  • Take our full day charter and water taxi boat out to the Kenai Fjords National Park for 4 hours of fully guided paddling in front of the calving tidewater glaciers at Aialik, Holgate, or Northwestern Glacier (Captain's Choice).

  • Get picked up and the crew will take you out to the fishing grounds to target Silver Salmon and Rock Fish for 4 hours!

  • On the way home, end in beautiful Humpy Cove and stay the night at the Humpy Cove Cabin, waking the next morning for a day of kayaking before a water taxi back to Miller's Landing.

  • All meals, guides, tackle, kayaking gear, all you need, are provided - This is a great way to do an overnight trip in style!

  • Our specially selected kayaking areas are very protected, and kayaking in the National Park is hosted by our landing craft itself making it the safest way to bring kids or less active folks to the region without exposing them to the stresses of a full day expedition.

  • Trips are priced based on exclusive access for party sizes as large as 5 (6 is possible, but know that the cabin has 1 queen and 3 singles so one guest would sleep on the floor).

  • Your group will have the whole boat to themselves, dedicated guides, and the entire lodging for the two days and one night of the tour.

  • Don't want to stay in a cabin? Have a group larger than 6? We can arrange a drop off at Fox Island Spit for the overnight instead, with gorgeous views of the Resurrection Peninsula! We perform the same tour for you, plus providing tents, sleeping bags, et al. For this arrangement, we can take groups larger than 6 with some extra planning - call to inquire!

  • Need to return earlier in the day than 3:30? Let us know - we can plan an earlier pick up from your second day paddling locale if informed at the time of booking.

Duration

  • Each trip includes approximately 4 hours of sightseeing on the water taxi (2 hour ride in and 2 hour ride out)
  • Approximately 4 hours of paddling near the glaciers in the National Park - The boat will be standing by during this time (Get cold or tired? We'll pick them up early).
  • Approximately 4 hours of fishing for the target species in season (Rock Fish / Salmon) before returning to Resurrection Bay.
  • Overnight stay at the Humpy Cove Cabin - a remote off-grid lodging on the side of the mountain in beautiful Humpy Cove (Sleeping arrangements are 1 Queen, and 3 singles in a separate bedroom). Lodging includes a covered porch, a wood stove, propane cook stove, running water & flush toilet. No electricity!
  • Want to eat your catch for dinner? We can plan that! Otherwise we will transport your catch, with your permission, back to a local processor in Seward, ensuring it's vacuum sealed, frozen and ready for you when you finish your trip. Please take note: NO HALIBUT may be retained on these tours, and we only target rock fish and salmon when in season.
  • Day kayaking in Humpy Cove: Wake up and explore the pink salmon stream, see river otters, and the gorgeous coastline of the generally serene marine park, being picked up between 2-230 and returned back to the Landing by 3-3:30.

Rates & Dates

  • Have a party larger than 5-6? Let us know and we'll see what else we can do! There are a number of other remote cabin resources we can inquire about availability and pricing on. Group sizes cannot exceed 12 clients in the National Park.

Please note: No halibut may be targeted or retained on these trips per state and federal law: we are not permitted to transport halibut without the fishermen who harvested them, so it's not possible for us to bring this fish back for you when you're staying the night in Humpy Cove.
