About This Adventure

Embark on an unforgettable overnight or multi-day fishing adventure targeting Bluefin and Yellowfin Tuna, Dorado, and Yellowtail. Departing at 9 PM, you'll fish at dawn, utilizing techniques like flat falls and kite fishing. Experience the thrill of catching large pelagic species while maximizing your time on the water.

During the spring, summer, and fall we run overnight and multiday trips to specifically chase down Bluefin and Yellowfin Tuna, Dorado, and Yellowtail.

This trip departs at 9 PM and travels all night to the tuna grounds. When you wake up in the morning , before sun up, you will begin fishing right away!

Flat falls in the dark, kite fishing with frozen flying fish, during the day. That is usually the drill. When traveling from spot to spot , we often troll, but are always on the look out for surface action or kelp patties.

Overnight and Multi Day trips are the number one producer of large fish out of all the trips we offer, and if what you seek is a big bluefin tuna, or other pelagic species, this is the trip for you.

*HINT. Always choose a trip ending in ".5" Choose a 2.5 day trip over a 2 day trip. Why? That will allow you to fish from dawn til dusk on your last day, instead of turning toward home at 2pm.

Adventure Tips

Check seasonality for tuna peaks

Tuna fishing is most productive during late summer and fall when schools are most active, so plan accordingly.

Arrive early for the best bite

Getting on the water at sunrise maximizes your chances of a successful trip, as tuna are more active in the early morning hours.

Bring sun protection

Sunblock, hats, and sunglasses are vital to protect against the strong California sun during long hours at sea.

Prepare for limited bathroom access

Restroom facilities are onboard, but space can be limited; plan accordingly for comfort.
