Join the PILB Class designed for Nevada security guards aiming to upgrade to an Armed Guard Card. This intensive 13-hour course combines classroom learning with practical shooting exercises, including holster draws and timed qualifications. About

The PILB Class is for Security Guards currently working in Nevada that posses a current unarmed Guard Card issued through the Private Investigators Licensing Board and are looking to obtain the Armed Guard Card.

Students will be required to attend 13 hours of class time consisting of one 8-hour class and on 5-hour class. There will be a written examination of 50 questions and a shooting qualification. Expect to bring your own lunch and drink; there are many restaurants nearby. There will be many exercises to include drawing from holster and shooting. Failure to commit to drills, class, tardiness will result in dismissal from class with no refund offered. Shooting qualification:

  1. With a B27 target at 3 yards; Draw from the holster with one hand, fire five rounds with dominant hand, reload and fire five rounds with the support hand only within 30 seconds. (this is to be done with one hand, no exceptions).

  2. with B27 target at 7 yards; Draw from the holster and fire five rounds with two hands supported, drop to a kneeling position, reload, and fire five rounds within 30 seconds.

  3. With the B27 target at 15 yards; Draw from the holster and fire five rounds with two hands supported, drop to a kneeling position, reload, and fire five rounds within 30 seconds.
