Banyan Tree Adventures is an adventure tour operator based in Joliet, Illinois, that offers guided ocean trips featured on The Adventure Collective. The company organizes four distinct experiences: a Snorkel Tour, a Scenic Kayak Tour, a Humpback Whale Watch Tour, and a Private Custom Tour. Each trip departs to marine sites including Olowalu Reef in West Maui, providing opportunities to see sea turtles, colorful reef fish, dolphins, and humpback whales where seasonally present.
Guides provide equipment and essentials appropriate for each activity: snorkeling gear, hands-free pedal kayaks, and snacks on the Snorkel Tour; pedal kayaks suited for scenic paddling and whale watching; and a customizable 4-hour Private Custom Tour where guests choose snorkeling, whale watching, or scenic kayaking. The Snorkel Tour includes optional drone video capture; the Whale Watch Tour operates November through April to align with humpback whale presence.
Banyan Tree Adventures emphasizes small-group, intimate experiences designed for photography, wildlife observation, and safe enjoyment of marine environments. Tours balance relaxation and active exploration, appealing to families, solo travelers, and nature enthusiasts. Reservations accommodate private group planning through the Private Custom Tour option, enabling guests to tailor duration and focus with a guide.
As featured on The Adventure Collective, the company’s listed trip summaries describe what participants can expect, where activities take place, and practical inclusions. All information reflects the trips as advertised and focuses on delivering memorable, guided ocean experiences.
