A late-morning minivan peels out of Berat and the road narrows as olive groves and pine slopes close in. By the time the canyon walls begin to appear, the river’s voice is audible—sharp, urgent—pushing through limestone like a knife. Participants step from the van into a narrow green gorge where the Osum dares you downstream: shallow pools, quick current, clefts carved over millennia.

The transfer is about 60 km and typically takes 1.5–2 hours by minivan with a short comfort stop en route.
No previous canyoning experience is required; guides provide neoprene suits, helmets and life-jackets and the route is suitable for people with moderate fitness.
Basic swimming ability is required because some sections involve short swims; life-jackets are provided but complete non-swimmers should consult the operator first.
The tour includes a regional lunch during the day as well as stops for water at natural springs like Bogova.
The Osum valley has been a travel corridor since antiquity; its limestone walls preserve karst features and the surrounding settlements reflect Ottoman and Albanian highland traditions.
