Osmeña Peak occupies upland barangays historically farmed by mountain communities; Kawasan’s river corridors have long been used by locals for freshwater and small-scale transport.
Operators encourage pack-in/pack-out and limit group sizes to reduce riverbank erosion; visitors should avoid touching corals downstream and obey local guidelines to protect freshwater sources.
