A launch from Sjølyst Marina in the soft light of morning feels deliberate—city glass and modern piers fall away as you slide a kayak into the Oslofjord. The water is cool and clear; guides arrange boats and hand out life vests while gulls argue overhead. Within minutes the skyline of Oslo becomes a backdrop, islands and sandy coves pushing forward like chapters waiting to be explored.
