The PADI Open Water Course consists of three main phases:

  • 5 Online Knowledge Development sections (eLearning) to learn the basic principles of scuba diving
  • Confined Water session to learn how to use your equipment and practice your skills in a controlled environment
  • 4 Open Water Dives to apply the skills you learned during the confined session and to explore!

You can start now by booking your PADI Open Water Diver course online, but please call the dive shop at (305) 451-3252 to confirm availability, schedule the second part of your course and get your e-Learning material sent.

To enroll in this course or the Junior Open Water Diver course,

  1. Students MUST be at least 10 years or older.
  2. Students should be able to swim and in good physical shape.
  3. Students must complete the PADI medical questionnaire and if necessary, see a physician to confirm you are fit to dive. View PADI Diver Medical Questionnaire HERE
  • No prior experience with scuba diving is required.
  • Divers are REQUIRED to wait 18 hours after scuba diving before flying on a plane.

What Will Silent World provide?

  • Everything you need to become certified: academic materials (e-Learning), PADI Professional Instructor, confined water session, and all four open water dives (including related fees), and scuba equipment.
  • Scuba Gear Includes: mask, snorkel, fins, buoyancy control device (BCD), regulator set, wetsuit, scuba tanks, and weights.
  • Friendly and Experienced PADI Instructor: Our delightful crew will take care of each student, making sure they feel comfortable and safe throughout the course.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Courses and course materials are non-refundable. No exceptions will be made.

  • There will be a $250 fee for anyone who does not show to class or reschedules same day as class, does not have materials at time of class and/or does not have materials completed correctly, or if confined water skills 1-5 and dives 1-2 are not completed as scheduled.

  • We require at 48 hour notice prior to your check-in time to change any reservations with no additional fee.

  • For changes made to reservations within 48 hours, you will be billed a $70 fee.

  • If you do not show up for your reservation, you will be billed for the full price of the course per person that was reserved. To reschedule, a $250 fee will be charged for not showing up to the scheduled course date or making changes the same day of the scheduled course.
