Nusa Lembongan sits on the outer rim of Bali’s reef systems, formed from volcanic uplift and coral accretion, and has long been a fishing and seaweed-farming community. The island’s shallow reefs, steep drop-offs and seasonal currents create a training ground used by divers to learn navigation, deep dives and buoyancy control while watching reef fish and occasional manta rays.
This combined Open Water + Advanced package moves from basics—breathing from a regulator, equalizing and safe ascent rates—to targeted adventure dives: deep and underwater navigation are mandatory, while drift, photography or fish-ID refine skills. Expect classroom briefings, confined-water sessions, and multiple boat dives over 3–4 days. Instructors on Lembongan balance safety with local knowledge of currents, cleaning stations and the best times to see larger pelagics.
Plan for tropical sun, warm water with a thin wetsuit, and variable currents; pack a dive log, a personal mask and, if possible, a dive computer.
