Gail Rieke is an internationally recognized collage, assemblage, and installation artist and teacher who lives and works in Santa Fe with her husband, painter Zachariah Rieke.
"My great delight is to encounter the unexpected with senses opened and then to distill this moment of awe into collages, assemblages, multi-media journals, photographs, writings, and interactive projects. Suitcases hold the enigma of past adventures," says Gail. "Journals measure time and experience in formal variations. Collages combine fragments of patina. Photographs capture split-second epiphanies. My life-work and my art-work are inextricably combined."
