Please note:

-For riders aged 10+. If you have a child under 10 please contact us for options.

-Riders need to arrive 15minutes before the ride start time.

-Cantering does not occur on rides except for specific dates for proven experienced riders - see FAQ's for more info.

-There is a 2 person minimum for the ride to go ahead, if this minimum is not reached we will call you to reschedule. -Children under the age of 12 will need a parent/guardian to also book to come on the ride on a seperate horse. -For NDIS bookings or bookings for someone that is differently abled please provide relevant information at checkout. -Our weight limit is 90kg however we can sometimes make exceptions. If you are over 90kg please enquire within. We have a limited capacity for riders weighing 75-90kg. We will contact you to discuss if we are over the limit.

Spring Creek Horse Rides’ one-hour trail ride is a great introduction to horse riding in Bellbrae just out of Torquay, the start of the famous Great Ocean Road.

Our experienced horse riding guides will lead you on a gentle walk or trot through bushland of the Spring Creek Valley.

This trail ride is ideal for first timers, families and young children. No matter your level of experience, we will pair you with a horse that matches your ability, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable horse riding experience for everyone.

Enjoy a chance to check out the native flora – and who knows, you might even share an encounter with an echidna, kangaroo or cockatoo! If you don’t think one hour is long enough, don’t worry – Spring Creek Horse Rides also offers one-and-a-half and two-hour trail rides near Torquay, as well as all-day horse riding tours.

What to Wear

Please ensure all riders are wearing long pants, long sleeves, and close toed shoes. Any rider arriving in unsuitable shoes will be provided with an option from our small selection – however all sizes not guaranteed.

Spring Creek Horse Rides advises you bring a jacket with you in case of rain, as rides will continue regardless of weather – except in extreme storm conditions where you will be contacted to reschedule the booking. We do provide riding jackets if needed.

Adventure Tips

Arrive Early for Briefing and Mounting

Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled ride to get fitted with gear and receive safety instructions.

Wear Appropriate Clothing

Long pants and closed-toe shoes are a must to stay comfortable and safe while riding through bushland.

Notify Rider Weight in Advance

If you weigh over 75 kg, contact Spring Creek prior to booking to ensure horse availability and safety measures.

Bring a Rain Jacket

Rides continue in light rain, so a waterproof layer is recommended to stay dry and warm.
