About

Morning Family Sail — A Gentle Start to the Day Perfect for families with young children, our 1-hour Morning Family Sail offers a calm, easy introduction to sailing. We head out during one of the quietest, most peaceful times of day, when the wind is most likely to be light, the bay is calm, and little ones are rested and ready for adventure.

Enjoy the beauty of Port Townsend Bay from the spacious cockpit of our traditional wooden catboat, Katie M. Kids can take a turn at the helm, spot seabirds and seals, or simply relax and enjoy the ride. This short, gentle trip is ideal for first-time sailors or anyone who prefers a slower pace—without the stronger afternoon breezes of our Golden Hour Sail.

A relaxed, memorable start to your day on the water.
