You land back in Istanbul before midnight with pockets full of dust and a camera full of light, but for the day you trade Bosphorus vistas for a moonscape: Cappadocia’s valleys open like folded paper beneath a pale sky. The tour begins in the dark with an early hotel pickup and a short domestic flight; when the plane drops you over central Anatolia the terrain reads as a different planet—soft, bleached rock punctuated by mushroom-shaped spires and honeycombed ridgelines. Balloons drift like slow planets at sunrise, but the day tour turns those aerial postcards into walkable ground.
