The tour begins behind a hidden door on Commercial Street — step out into a narrow lane of brick and granite where salt air and bakery steam compete for your attention. Guides lead small groups along cobblestones, past weathered wharves and low-slung seafood sheds, pausing at four to five neighborhood venues where wood-fired ovens, local brewers and confectioners lay out Maine-forward bites.
