A cool morning mist lifts off the shallow channels as your mokoro glides through a reed-lined artery of the Okavango Delta. Water ripples whisper under the pole, hippos submerge with soft grunts, and the guides read the language of spoor and bird calls like a map. For three days the delta sets the pace — slow, attentive, and alive.

Light to moderate fitness; able to board mokoros, walk up to a few hours on uneven ground, and tolerate basic tent accommodation.
No prior experience is required; local polers handle the mokoro and guides instruct passengers on safe boarding and balance.
Accommodation is simple mobile tenting (approx. 2.5 x 2.5 m) with bedding; facilities are basic and camps are moved seasonally within the concession.
The delta supports large mammals and sightings are possible, especially on game drives, but sightings aren’t guaranteed—habitat, season, and animal movements affect encounters.
