You step onto a narrow metal walkway bolted to limestone, the forest below a green roar and a river daring you from the canyon floor. At Okatse the trail hugs the cliff for roughly 780 meters, ending at a panoramic cantilever that frames a 35–50 meter drop; later the Abasha River threads through Martvili Canyon’s roughly 2,400 meters of gorge where boats glide under small waterfalls. Between them, the underworld of Prometheus Cave offers an hour-long show of stalactites, stalagmites, underground lakes and rivers — only about one tenth of the cavern is open, but the developed 3 km landscape around the entrance makes for an accessible approach.
