About
Our ever-popular Ohio’s Friendliest Train Robbery trains are family-friendly and feature a group of bandits on horseback making an attempt to rob the train. Now, before you think, “Rob the train?!”, we distribute play money to everyone before the train departs.
The “robbers” then come through and collect the play money once they’re able to stop the train. Guns are used but only with blanks, and we maintain a safe atmosphere for everyone aboard!
These trains tend to sell out quickly, so make sure you reserve your seat as early as possible! We have six Robbery Trains scheduled for 2025 June 7 & 21, July 12 & 26, and Aug. 9 and 30. All six Robbery trains depart the Nelsonville Depot at 6:00 p.m. NOTE: Robbery Trains are not pulled by a Steam Engine!

If someone in your party needs wheelchair access, please purchase a wheelchair ticket. Due to the antique nature of our equipment, we have very limited wheelchair capacity. Also, please plan to arrive 45 minutes prior to departure in order to give us ample time to get your party comfortably on board.

Upon arrival, please come inside the depot and pick up hard copies of your tickets. Your confirmation is not a ticket and you must have paper tickets to board the train. No shows will be charged the full price.

The trains are scheduled to leave promptly at their scheduled departure times. Passengers should arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the departure. Wheelchairs should arrive closer to 45 minutes to an hour before departure.
