The rigid-hulled inflatable punches out of Quay 5 and the city’s harbor noise thins to wind and spray. In one direction Table Mountain’s flat crown watches over the bay; in the other the Atlantic opens and dares you to look farther. The skipper eases into a quick run, then slows to a careful search—dorsal fins, diving penguins, the flash of a sunfish—each sighting changing the rhythm of the ride.

The outing is a 60-minute RIB cruise departing from Quay 5 at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.
