You step off a red-dirt track into a green world that feels older than memory: heavy-leafed trees arch above and mist threads the trunks. The canopy walkway hangs 70 meters over the ancient Nyungwe forest, a swaying corridor 160–200 meters long that forces you to slow and look—across ridgelines, toward Lake Kivu on clear days, and into the darting lives of birds and monkeys below.

The Nyungwe canopy walkway is suspended about 70 meters above the forest and spans roughly 160–200 meters; the guided traverse takes around two hours including trail approaches.
