Enhance your boating skills with this hands-on, three-hour training course focused on precision boat handling and docking techniques. Guided by certified instructors, you'll develop a docking plan and gain practical experience, ensuring safety is prioritized. Complete the course with an NSBC digital certification and confidence in your boating abilities.
On-water training is based on the National Safe Boating Council (NSBC) curriculum. Module 2 will guide you thru the basics of precision boat handling to use while docking. Module 1 is required as the skills from Module 1 build into Module 2. Safety will always be our focus. In this course we will build on your boat handling skills while introducing the fundamentals of docking with practice, practice, practice. You learn to have a docking plan before you leave or approach the docks, then brief that plan to your crew. All courses are taught by Erie Islands Powerboating School Instructors who hold USCG and NSBC certifications.
