About

On-water training is based on the National Safe Boating Council (NSBC) curriculum. Module 1 will guide you thru the basics of boating. Safety will always be our focus, we start with and introduction to boat nomenclature, pre-departure checklists, and the use of safety equipment. Once students are comfortable with the basics we head out on the water to learn boat handling at slow speeds. Our goal is to get you comfortable and confident with moving the vessel and understanding the dynamics of boat control. All courses are taught by Erie Islands Powerboating School Instructors who hold USCG and NSBC certifications.
