About This Adventure

Experience the magic of Alaska's winter nights with Starlight Snowshoeing! This guided adventure takes you through serene woodlands, where you’ll search for the mesmerizing northern lights and celestial wonders. Enjoy a cozy atmosphere with snacks, hot drinks, and blankets as you embark on an unforgettable journey under the stars.

Starlight Snowshoeing is a guided snowshoe hike under the cover of darkness, where we explore the winter woodlands of Alaska!

The goal of this trip is to view the northern lights and other natural objects in the night sky (stars, planets, constellations, and other things of the night). Snowshoeing is not required if your group does not want to participate in a night hike. Hikes are less than 2 miles. This activity varies in the location where it operates in as we pick the location the day of the trip to maximize your chances of seeing the night sky.

Note on the Northern Lights (conditions have to be perfect to see the lights, and they can be very dramatic. Well, we do our best to find the right spot at the right time, but we cannot guarantee that you will see the northern lights as they are a naturally occurring phenomenon.

Duration

4-6 hours, depending on drive times to remote Alaska

Activity Level

Easy to Participate (hikes are less than 2 miles and are an optional part of the experience)
