Before dawn the ocean near Lovina presses black against the sky, and the traditional jukung boat slips away with a soft creak. On a North Bali dolphin tour, the sunrise is the opening act—dolphins pop through the glassy surface as colors edge the sky, then the itinerary moves inland toward waterfalls, twin lakes and the temple on Beratan.

Yes; the tour is rated easy physically, but early pickup, boat movement and some uneven surfaces at waterfalls may be challenging for very young children or those with mobility issues.
Boat rental costs are often charged locally (approx IDR150k–200k per person); some attractions may have modest local entrance or parking fees not always included.
Ulun Danu Beratan dates to the 17th century and reflects Bali’s water temple tradition tied to rice agriculture and mountain-lake hydrology.
Dolphin tours should avoid chasing pods and never feed wildlife; choose operators who follow local guidelines and limit boat noise to reduce stress on marine animals.
