Full Day Charters

The reefs out from Port Douglas offer some of the best fishing in FNQ. From popper fishing for Giant Trevally to Big Red Bass, just to name a few, to throwing stick baits for Spanish Mackerel or even getting up in the shallow reefs and bombies chasing Coral Trout and other reef species on lures, is always great fun and a good arm workout! If bottom fishing is more your thing, then you have come to the right place. Red Emperor, Coral Trout, Large & Small mouth Nannygai and all other reef species in between are fund on the pristine reefs close to Port Douglas.

Half Day Charters

We offer private half days exploring both the coastal Barrier Reef and the calm waters of our local inlets & rivers. If the winds permit, we head out to the inshore reefs chasing Trevally, Coral Trout and Nannygai etc.. If the wind picks up, we head into the river. The river systems around Port Douglas can also make for some really great fishing. Grunter, Mangrove Jack, Barramundi and Fingermark are all on the cards. This option is perfect for families or those who only have a short amount of time.

Adventure Tips

Bring Sun Protection

Queensland’s sun is intense—gear up with sunscreen, hats, and polarized sunglasses for comfort and safety during charters.

Stay Hydrated

Though water is provided, bringing extra fluids and snacks ensures sustained energy during long days on the water.

Wear Non-Slip Footwear

Boat decks can be wet and slippery; sturdy sandals or boat shoes with good grip improve safety while moving around.

Prepare for Variable Conditions

Half-day trips might switch from reef to river based on wind; pack light layers to handle both open sea breezes and sheltered inlets.
