Come aboard the Island Current Fleet after a long work day and experience New York City in a new and exciting way while night fishing for Stripers and Blues! Bluefish are voracious predators with razor sharp teeth; they will strike at almost any object and are among the hardest hitting fish along the Atlantic Seaboard. After the initial hit, bluefish put up an incredible fight, sometimes leaping out of the water consecutive times. They feed both during the day and at night; the moonlit evening hours are perfect for spotting their dark shadows! Striped Bass is the New York state freshwater fish, and are renowned for both their amazing power and wonderful flavor. Stripers can reach weights in excess of 100 pounds, although individuals larger than 50 pounds are rare. The all-tackle angling record fish, taken in New Jersey in 1972, weighed 78 ½ pounds and measured 72 inches long. Striped bass also feed at night, making the late hours one of the best times to find them! Learn special nighttime chunk baiting from our expert crew and enjoy the serene calm of the night waters of the Long Island Sound.
Bait and tackle are included in the ticket price. $5 Rod Rentals can be purchased separately. What Is Not Included? Food and beverages are not included in the price of a ticket. Please feel free to bring your own food and beverages in a plastic cooler no larger than 48 quarts.
