About This Adventure

Experience the wonders of the night sky with Dark Sky Wales in the first International Dark Sky Reserve. Enjoy a 1.5-hour guided stargazing session using portable telescopes, led by knowledgeable astronomers. Whether clear or cloudy, you'll gain insights into celestial objects and astronomy in a cozy setting. No prior experience required!

Duration and starting time

• Please allow 1.5 hours for the full experience.

• The starting time may be subject to changes depending on the moon phase. You will receive an email or text confirming the time of your experience 7 days beforehand.

What happens on the day

On arrival at the location, you’ll meet with the Dark Sky Wales staff, who will provide you with an initial briefing of the area and what to expect from the evening.

You'll then be taken to the observing location, where astronomers will use assorted portable telescopes to show you numerous celestial objects and be on hand to answer any questions. In the event of inclement weather, an astronomical talk will be provided in our warm room.
