About This Adventure

Duration

  • Approximately two hours.

About

  • The blackwater creek takes on a whole new adventure in the dark! Come join us for a 2-hour fun guided kayak tour through the swampy wetland of blackwater Lofton Creek when the sun goes down! Who knows what kind of wildlife we'll find lurking in the dark… beavers? Alligators? Maybe even the… SWAMP APE??? Only one way to find out!
  • This tour begins at dusk as the sun is going down. About the time we reach the halfway point, the creek begins to darken. The sun will have set by the time we begin the paddle back to the boat ramp! We'll have some glow sticks available,. Feel free to bring any other fun lights you want to bring along for this paddle in the dark! All kayaks will be decorated with lights down the sides, and all guides will have a spotlight to use on the water during the tour. Join us for a creepy good time!
BYOKayak - If you are bringing your own kayak to use, we will have string lights to use on your boat, just come a little early to attach them.

Bring Extra Light Sources

Glow sticks and small flashlights enhance visibility and add to the nighttime atmosphere during the tour.

Wear Water-Friendly Clothing

Choose lightweight, quick-drying clothing and shoes you don’t mind getting wet in case of splashes or light rain.

Insect Repellent Recommended

Mosquitoes can be active near swamp waters after dusk, so applying bug spray before the tour helps ensure comfort.

Check Weather and Water Conditions

Nighttime paddling is sensitive to weather changes; tours may be rescheduled for safety during storms or high winds.
