Night Airsoft at Vague Village: AOSC Special Event in West Union, SC

Vague Village — AOSC Special Event brings fast-paced night airsoft to West Union, South Carolina on October 11, 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This five-hour evening match converts a rural field near town into a kinetic playground of low-light skirmishes, semi-auto-only firefights, and planned team rotations. Field fee is $25; air fills are $5 per fill and on-site rentals are available for $45 (includes field fee) on a first-come, first-served basis. The field’s layout favors tactical movement: mixed forest lines, open clearings for sprint-and-cover plays, and man-made obstacles to hold or rush. Key features for visitors are the night-game environment, timed scenario rounds, and a chrono safety check at registration—if you arrive late you must wait to be registered and chrono-ed before entering the field. Players ten and older can participate; AOSC rules and safety protocols are enforced, and the event is strictly semi-auto only. Camo rules require all-green or all-tan uniforms; black is reserved for balancing teams. This event is notable because it marks the field’s welcome to the AOSC schedule and highlights West Union’s growing outdoor recreation offerings. Airsoft here functions as an accessible, skill-driven sport that gets players moving through South Carolina’s mixed hardwoods while encouraging gear stewardship and safe play. Expect a social atmosphere: teammates trading loadout tips at the chrono table, field staff running briefings, and vendors selling spare BBs and batteries. Practical details matter: bring layered clothing for changing evening temperatures, eye protection that meets field standards, and a reliable headlamp or weapon-mounted light. The schedule typically includes registration and safety briefings before the first game, periodic lunch or break windows during longer-day events, and a final wrap-up—organizers emphasize punctuality and following admin instructions. Why book this? For players new to night airsoft, the controlled environment and on-site rentals lower the barrier to entry. For seasoned skirmishers, the AOSC framework means consistent rules and a community of regulars who value fair play and tactical variety. Vague Village’s proximity to West Union (latitude 34.75885, longitude -83.029925) makes it an easy add-on to a weekend visiting the Upstate, and the mix of fast action, clear operational rules, and community focus makes this a standout local event. Parking and gates are managed by event staff; expect a short walk from parking to the staging area and bring footwear suited for uneven, possibly muddy ground. If you depend on inhalers or have medical concerns, carry medications and make staff aware during check-in. Vendors usually stock BBs, batteries, and basic maintenance supplies but bring spare magazines and a small multi-tool if you can. Whether you’re chasing objective wins or practicing movement and comms, Vague Village’s night event delivers compact, intense rounds that sharpen skills and build local connections. Register.
