About Your Trip

NEPTUNE PARK LOCATION——78 Fort Slocum Road, New Rochelle

One of our most popular trips, the Porgy and Sea Bass excursions are great for the whole family. Fishing the generally calm waters of the Long Island Sound, we focus on various rockpiles, wrecks, and other bottom structure that holds the biggest specimens. A true mainstay, a beginner can go toe to toe with the most seasoned angler on these tasty critters. A family favorite both on the dinner plate and on the line, these fighters battle every second on the way up. Generally weighing between 1lb to heavier than 3lbs, Porgies have a voracious appetite, hitting both clam and worms with vigor. Clams are supplied on all trips and worms are available for purchase on Open Boat trips and included on all Private Charters. Sea Bass are found mixed in on the same bottom, also hitting clams and worms. Some of the best tasting fish one could ask for, the Sea Bass population has been booming in the Long Island Sound and a few of them in your bucket will definitely make you the envy of the other anglers on board.
