About

The Backcountry waters have an average depth of 1-6’ keeping our waters consistently calm, making it a great excursion for all family members regardless of the fear of getting “sea sick”. The huge variety of sea life and birds will keep your eyes busy throughout the entire day, everywhere you look there will be animals swimming, crawling or flying! This excursion consists of slow cruising on the boat over shallow sandbars and through narrow mangrove canals. This trip offers a great opportunity for photographers, film makers and the family that wants to experience and learn about our local wildlife. For this, a 9:00 a.m. departure time is recommended as most wildlife moves in the mornings, along with the best light for photos and filming. You can also pick from any time of the day. Sunset Trips available upon request. There will be NO SNORKEL GEAR on this trip. There will ALWAYS be a fishing rod on the boat for those who want to try their luck at catching a fish! With multiple snapper, jack and shark species roaming the flats, there is great opportunity for catching fish.

• Minimum age is 4 years old.
• Any children 6 years of age or younger will be required to wear a PFD when underway, this - will be provided on the boat if you do not bring your own. Please request a PFD for every child 6 or younger.

• Cooler full of ice and waters
• We do not supply food on our trips. However, guests are more than welcome to bring whatever food/snacks/ or drinks they'd like. There are multiple grocery stores in Key West to choose from, Publix being our favorite.
