- Essex River Cruises operates within a tidal estuary. Our tour explores the salt marsh and navigates within a protected bay; we do not operate on the open ocean. However, we are Mother Nature’s guests cruising in coastal waters where the temperature may be lower than on land, so dress accordingly. We suggest that you wear comfortable clothes and shoes. If you forget something or would like to bring home a souvenir we have most anything you might want in our gift shop including hats, sweatshirts, cameras, knick knacks, snacks and gift certificates.
Please note: We generally will not begin taking reservations until it is within two weeks of a cruise, so please check back then!
