You step off the fast ferry into Capri’s Marina Grande and the island immediately pushes at your senses: limestone cliffs, the sea’s color shifting from azure to emerald, and the hush of alleys where scooters thread between stone. The day begins in Naples’ Molo Beverello and opens with a shared coastal boat ride that skirts cavern mouths and the vertical Faraglioni stacks that rise from the Tyrrhenian like weathered columns.
moderate.
8–9 hours.
Moderate fitness—able to walk on uneven cobbles, climb steps and board small boats without assistance
The tour is approximately 9 hours and meets at Naples’ Molo Beverello main port; it ends back at the same meeting point.
No—access to grottos such as the Blue Grotto depends on sea and weather conditions; guides will adjust the route for safety.
Food is not included; there are opportunities to buy local dishes and snacks in Anacapri and Capri’s main square.
Not recommended—the itinerary includes stairs, steep cobbles and boarding small boats; a moderate level of mobility is required.
Capri was a favored retreat of Roman emperors — Tiberius established villas here — and its coastal stacks and grottos were shaped by marine erosion over millennia.
High visitor numbers strain paths and coastal habitats; stick to marked trails, avoid disturbing marine life and carry out any trash.
