You begin before dawn on Nagarkot’s east-facing ridge, the cold air already tasting of tea and distant rock. The sky lightens, and the Himalaya push their sharp silhouettes above the low clouds—Langtang and Ganesh Himal stepping forward like old friends. With high tea settled, the trail drops away: a steady descent through fields, terraced gardens and small villages where early chores set the pace.
