A one-day tour starting from Nafplion, you will begin your tour heading to Laconia. Arriving in Sparta we will have the opportunity to see the archaeological museum of the area. This museum is rich in findings from the Neolithic to Roman times, but the most important places are the objects of the great sanctuaries of Sparta.
We will then go to the Museum of Greek Olive Oil, which will take us through the culture, history and technology of olive and olive oil production in Greece, from prehistoric times up until the beginning of the 20th century.
Mystras is just 5 km from Sparta where it is our final destination. The last stronghold of Hellenism before the Ottoman conquest closes in the ruinous walls of the four abandoned settlements with great post-Byzantine churches and palaces of Palaiologos and is included in the Unesco World Heritage List.
In the village under the castles, we can stop for lunch at one of the traditional taverns before we take the road back.
