Il Rijksmuseum è il museo più grande dei Paesi Bassi. Al suo interno sono esposte le opere di Rembrandt, Vermeer e Frans Hals oltre che tutta l'arte olandese dal 1600 in poi.

Il museo ospita anche una bellissima sezione di strumenti musicali antichi, le famose e intriganti case delle bambole e una bellissima biblioteca interna progettata da Cuypers.
