You step off the coastal road and a ribbon of turquoise splits the sun-baked rock—Wadi Shab daring you to follow. The canyon narrows as you hike, palms shading short stretches, then opens to deep basins where water collects in glassy pools. A boat ride across the inlet and a mixture of scrambling and steady hiking lead to a cave where a cool spring feeds emerald pools; the water pushes forward, inviting a swim.
