Morning light breaks on the Arabian Sea as a traditional Omani dhow slips from Dibba harbor, cushions and carpets laid out for a day at sea. The dhow’s low profile and wooden hull put you close to the water; cliffs rise abruptly on either side as the boat threads the Musandam fjords, where wind-sculpted limestone and the Hajar range meet deep, turquoise channels.
