Conclude your adventure with a tasting at Sugarland’s Distilling Company, celebrating a unique heritage.
Experience the Smoky Mountain National Park in a new way. Smoky Mountain Guides will lead you on a tour through some of the oldest mountains in the world. During this auto-tour, learn why moonshine was not only a “cat and mouse” adrenaline rush between its maker and the feds; but also a way to allow families to purchase school books, feed their children and much more to a poor mountain community. Become immersed in the beauty of the Smokies and educated on the points of interest most locals don’t even know about. We will climb in elevation from 1200 feet to 5046 feet, as we experience the valleys, peaks, and everything in between. There are multiple photography stops and opportunities to get out in the fresh mountain air. Upon the return to modern day, take a stop at the dedication spot of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park before heading down the mountain and ending at the Sugarland’s Distilling Company, where you can enjoy a taste of moonshine that provided many a way of life years ago.
