The morning air in Utuado tastes like wet leaf and river stone as you step onto the terraced paths of Finca Remedio. Pine and fruit trees lean in; a low river threads the property and the superadobe dome of the house rises from the earth like a human-made hill. You arrive by a short, quiet drive into the central Cordillera; the farm’s wooden bridge and shaded decks frame the view before the retreat even begins.
