Explore the Whitsunday Islands like never before with our exclusive mountain bike trail on South Molle Island, the only one of its kind in the Whitsunday Islands National Park.

Your adventure begins with a short boat transfer, setting the tone for an exciting day ahead. The flowing and easy-to-ride trail awaits, providing a pleasant cycling experience for all skill levels. As you pedal along, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the Whitsunday Islands group from the trail and three spectacular lookouts: Mt. Jefferys, Spion Kop, and Balancing Rock. Take a break at each viewpoint to snack, drink, and capture the epic scenery in photographs.

Beyond the absolutely stunning views, this adventure offers a deeper connection to the region's heritage and natural wonders. Our journey will lead us to intriguing cultural sites, offering glimpses into the island's storied history. We'll also encounter the fascinating wildlife that calls the Whitsundays home, creating cherished encounters with nature's most captivating inhabitants. The journey is not rushed, with ample time for exploration, taking around 2.5 to 3 hours of riding and sightseeing.

After the invigorating ride, we'll head back to Sandy Bay, where you can relax with a cool drink and enjoy a swim in the ocean while waiting for the boat ride back to the mainland.

Join us for a 4-5 hour adventure that combines nature, history, exhilaration and relaxation, offering a unique perspective on the Whitsundays and a feeling of connection.

Tour Includes:

  • Trek Full Suspension Electric Mountain Bike, Powerfly FS 4, Rail 5 or Rail 7.
  • Safety riding helmet, gloves and glasses.
  • Return shuttle bus transfer departing Airlie Beach.
  • Return boat transfers to South Molle Island departing Shute Harbour Marine Terminal.
  • Safety briefing prior to tour departure.
  • Small backpack containing a cooler bag with your drinks/snacks, and a two-way radio for inter-group communication.
  • 1 litre+ water bottle to keep you hydrated while on tour and a icy cold drink at the finish.
  • Locally produced natural and nutritious snacks to keep your energy up for the adventure.
  • Small group numbers for a better experience.
  • Knowledgeable, experienced and friendly tour guide.

  • A tailor made tour based on the groups riding experience level and need for a adrenaline pumping adventure or a scenic cruise.

What to bring:

  • We provide a small backpack containing a cooler bag with your drinks and snacks. If you would prefer to bring your own backpack you can, we'll just need to fit the cooler bag inside it.
  • Closed-toe shoes.
  • Sun protective clothing, sunscreen, hat and sunglasses/alternative eye protection.
  • A camera to capture the epic scenery.
  • Light jacket or raincoat on overcast days.
  • Optional swimwear/Stinger Suit and a small lightweight towel for if we have time and you choose to swim.

Things to know:

  • This is not a learn to ride tour, you MUST be able to ride a mountain bike on a undulating surface.
  • Our 7:30am start time is indicative and subject to change depend on the boat transfer departure schedule. You will be updated on any changes via phone or email 48 hrs prior to your tour date.
  • Closed-toe shoes must be worn while on tour.
  • Eye protection such as sunglasses must be worn while riding.
  • Minimum age of 12 years old due to minimum height and weight requirements of 155cm and 45kg.
  • Tours are graded from green to blue to black for experience and fitness levels required.
  • Maximum weight of participant is 110kg.
  • Bring some cash for extra refreshments.
  • If we do not supply it, and you need it, bring it. There are no shops where we go adventuring.
  • "BYOB" If you are Bringing Your Own Bike it MUST be a Electric Mountain Bike in good work order and you are required to bring your own spares/tools (eg. tubes, pump). Pick up and return shuttle bus transfer will not be included in your booking and you will be required to transport yourself and your bike to the secondary tour departure location to be advised. Non-Electric BYOB tours are available upon request via email or phone call, and require a minimum booking of 3 guests.
