Pickup is typically between 1:30–2:30 AM with return to most hotels late morning; total duration is about 8–9 hours.
A simple summit breakfast (eggs, bread, banana, coffee/tea) is included; note dietary restrictions during booking so the operator can try to accommodate them.
The operator advises this activity for those without serious cardiovascular or spinal conditions; the early start and bumpy jeep sections can be uncomfortable for some.

Erosion and litter are concerns around lava fields and terraces—stay on paths, avoid disturbing crops, and support local farms that practice sustainable coffee and rice cultivation.
