Ensure you're dressed for mountain weather. The early morning right before sunrise is often the coldest part of the day, so layers are recommended.
Our number 1 local tip: Don't trust the weather forecast or be afraid of the rain! Mountain weather is super unpredictable, but fortunately even when it doesn't cooperate as we'd like, these conditions often produce the most stunning sunrises and even less crowds. Personally, we look forward to a chance of rain on the forecast!
Accessibility: While fitness levels for this tour are generally adaptable, participants should be prepared for light walking to make the most of this adventure.

This tour has staggered start times throughout the season to ensure we make it to Moraine Lake in time for sunrise. You can find out your pick-up time by inputting your preferred date & pick-up location during check-out.
Do I have enough time for significant hikes, say, to the Lake Louise teahouse?
Given the tour's timeline, reaching any of the Lake Louise tea houses is not possible if you plan on staying with the group tour from start to finish. If you want to use our tour to access the lakes and are happy to find your own way back to Banff, our team are happy to advise you of alternate options for returning to Banff later in the day.
